Free planning and existing purchases

Core planning is free for the whole group, regardless of trip length or group size. Ideas, voting, plans, booking details, packing and shared expenses do not require a purchase. Each trip has room for 500 cards. You can own up to ten unpaid trips at a time; invited and paid trips do not count toward that limit. New Trip Pass purchases are closed. Existing paid rights and payments already in progress remain valid. A confirmed payment already started is recorded once as a shared expense, crediting the buyer at checkout. It is split equally and includes later members until you change the split, record a repayment or someone leaves; then the shares stay fixed unless adjusted. A refund reduces this expense without changing recorded repayments. Historical purchases are not added retroactively. Existing receipts keep the amount and currency paid.

Your right to cancel, and refunds

The Trip Pass starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. You still have a right to cancel (angrerett under Norwegian law), for any reason: tell us within 14 days of paying and you get the full amount back, even if the Pass has been used. A short e-mail to hello@awayfolk.app saying you want to cancel is enough, or you can use the form below. We pay back within 14 days of hearing from you, the same way you paid. If the Trip Pass does not work as described, you also have your rights under Norwegian consumer law (digitalytelsesloven), and if we cannot agree, you can ask Forbrukerrådet to mediate. Cancellation form (fill it in and send it only if you want to cancel): To Gard Visdal Halvorsen, Bjerregaards gate 68A, 0174 Oslo, hello@awayfolk.app. I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the following service: Awayfolk Trip Pass for the trip […]. Ordered on […]. Name […]. Address […]. Signature (only if the form is sent on paper) […]. Date […].

Editing and read access

The group can keep editing its plans and shared expenses after the trip, without an editing deadline or payment. Membership and permissions still determine who can read and change the trip. A trip stays available until its owner deletes it. Retained memories and PDF exports follow the existing rights described below.

Photos and export

Each trip has 100 MB of photo space. Photos are compressed before upload. Memories is retired for new trips. Previously saved content remains available under Previous content in Settings. Trips created before retirement with an active Trip Pass keep creating and editing memories within their existing editing period and retain PDF export. These exports can be generated again and contain only memories added by the travel party, not experiences assumed from the itinerary. A downloaded PDF is yours to keep.

Suggestions and bookings

Trip suggestions can contain mistakes. Check times, prices and availability with the provider. The service does not book trips or activities.

AI connection

Using Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok follows your own agreements with that service, and connecting one is free. Each unpaid trip includes ten saved AI price estimates shared by its members and one tailored packing request. Unknown prices do not consume the estimate allowance. When an allowance is used, you can still enter prices and packing items manually. Existing Trip Pass purchases retain additional AI use, subject to limits of 20 estimate requests and 10 tailored lists an hour per person. Shared daily service limits can temporarily pause these features for everyone, including paid trips. Free group planning does not mean unlimited AI.
