# Awayfolk > Awayfolk is a shared trip planner for friends and family: one trip that everyone on it can open, with an idea bank, a day-by-day plan, a map, packing lists, bookings and shared expenses. The whole group shares one trip. It works in any browser, in English and Norwegian. Its optional Claude and ChatGPT connections have been tested reading a trip and saving ideas through a remote MCP server. ## Pages - [Front page](https://awayfolk.app/): what Awayfolk is and who it is for - [Plan with Claude or ChatGPT](https://awayfolk.app/ai): connecting Claude or ChatGPT, the status of other AI clients, and what it costs; also [in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb/ai) - [Example trips and trip shapes](https://awayfolk.app/explore) - [How to plan a trip with friends (without losing it in the group chat)](https://awayfolk.app/guides/plan-a-trip-with-friends), also [in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb/planlegge-tur-med-venner) - [A packing list for a trip with friends: what to share and what to bring yourself](https://awayfolk.app/guides/packing-list-for-a-trip-with-friends), also [in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb/pakkeliste-tur-med-venner) - [A city weekend with friends: a simple plan for two or three days](https://awayfolk.app/guides/city-weekend-with-friends), also [in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb/storbyhelg-med-venner) - [Apps for planning a trip with friends in 2026, compared](https://awayfolk.app/guides/apps-for-planning-a-trip-with-friends), also [in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb/apper-for-a-planlegge-tur-med-venner) - [A cabin trip with friends: how to plan the rent, the cars, the food and the cleaning](https://awayfolk.app/guides/cabin-trip-with-friends), also [in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb/planlegge-hyttetur-med-venner) - [How to plan a julebord with friends or colleagues, at home or in Copenhagen](https://awayfolk.app/guides/plan-a-julebord), also [in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb/planlegge-julebord) - [How to plan a mystery trip (a blåtur): the secret, the clues and the reveal](https://awayfolk.app/guides/plan-a-mystery-trip), also [in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb/planlegge-blatur) - [Awayfolk in Norwegian](https://awayfolk.app/nb) - [Tokyo After Hours](https://awayfolk.app/demo/tokyo-after-hours), an example trip: Tokyo · small bars, big impressions and neon - [Slow Days in Sicily](https://awayfolk.app/demo/slow-days-in-sicily), an example trip: Sicily · sea air, long lunches and small villages - [Julebord i København](https://awayfolk.app/demo/julebord-i-kobenhavn), an example trip: Copenhagen · Christmas markets, smørrebrød and long evenings - [Privacy](https://awayfolk.app/privacy) and [terms](https://awayfolk.app/terms) ## For AI assistants - MCP server: https://awayfolk.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration). Claude and ChatGPT have been tested reading trips and saving ideas; ChatGPT connects through Developer mode (Settings → Security and login → Developer mode, then chatgpt.com/plugins). Gemini and Grok are unverified. - Claude plugin: https://github.com/GardiBoy95/awayfolk-plugin (`/plugin marketplace add GardiBoy95/awayfolk-plugin`) - Tools read and update the trips the user has shared with the AI. Suggestions are ideas, never confirmed bookings; nothing is booked or paid. ## Facts - Price: Free for up to four people, or unlimited members on trips under three days. For longer trips, a Trip Pass costs USD 5 (NOK 49 in Norwegian) once and is required from the fifth member. Paid trips have unlimited members. Each trip includes ten free price estimates shared by its members; the Pass enables more estimates. The Pass includes price estimates, more tailored packing lists and editing until 30 days after coming home or paying, whichever is later. The payment is added to shared expenses and split equally; you can change the split. Usage limits apply; change your mind within 14 days for a full refund.
